Report: Cubs Close to Sending Lee to Braves

CSN Chicago is reporting that the Cubs and Braves are close to a deal that would send first baseman Derrek Lee to the Braves, who are seeking a bat to make up for the loss of Chipper Jones.

Now that the trade is complete, what do Cubs fans think of it?
As a Braves fan, I love it. It allows us to hide Glaus’ bat more now, and strengthens our bench while adding a slick fielding first baseman who is hitting of late.
I like it. I wish the Cubs could have gotten a bit more for him, but there was really no reason to keep Lee around since he most likely wouldn’t have been back after this season anyway. Might as well get something for him, save a little money, and let some kids play. I think Lee will do great with the Braves, honestly. It was a good move by Atlanta. If they could work out the money, they should think about adding Ramirez as well.
